Infiltration
When I began this work in the occult field, I had to learn as I went along. In many ways I was completely naïve. I was completely ignorant of the occult underground's intentions toward the church. I have since learned that their intentions are deliberate, determined, detailed and destructive.
My first information about occultists and Satanists infiltrating the church came from “He Came To Set The Captives Free” by Dr. Rebecca Brown and ex-witch “Elaine”. It was helpful in that it made me aware that the church DID get infiltrated. Unfortunately, it was inaccurate in a major point. Dr Brown said that the acid test was to ask, “Is Jesus Christ your Lord and Master?” We are told that a satanist cannot answer. Not true. I witnessed a committed Satanist prove it to me by flawlessly telling me, “Jesus Christ is my Lord and Master.” They are trained to do that.
Unfortunately this template created a great deal of confusion and division and eventually created suspicion and division in churches as people who read the book attempted to “expose” undercover witches and Satanists.
Setting that aside, it is vital that we know that there IS an agenda to infiltrate and destroy churches. I know, because I have witnessed it first hand, and have interviewed others whose ministries were rocked by such attacks.
In addition, it has become apparent that the weakening of the church is being carried out on numerous levels both spiritual and natural.
We know, of course, that the Accuser is opposing the church on every front. We also know when we are walking in the Way of the Lord, that the gates of hell cannot prevail against us.
That, of course, becomes the issue. Satan is constantly looking for holes in our armor to strike our “soft underbelly.”
I can't go into all the areas we have been weakened. I can only speak to the area I am most familiar with: The occult. Here are some examples of how we have been compromised:
- More and more Christian children and youth are reading Harry Potter, playing role-playinggames like D&D, Magic: The Gathering and the newest, Vampire: The Masquerade. Pokemon has now given way to a more occultic card game, Yu-Gi-Oh.
In Sweetwater, Texas, I was nearly shredded by about 25 kids in the youth group when I brought up D&D. Turns out ALL the kids played it, and no one was more shocked than the Pastor - his son, unbeknownst to him until that night, was the dungeon master.
Recently a Christian kid posted my Yu-Gi-Oh website page on a message board for players to hold me up for attack. I was besieged by foul, blasphemous, ugly e-mails - most were from Christian kids.
More and more Christian parents are allowing their kids to indulge these occult games, some who formerly took a stand but later thought it was “silly” to be so rigid about it.
Violent and occultic video games are played by Christian kids without restraint or supervision.
The result is a coming generation of powerless Christian kids to whom the devil can rightfully say, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?” (Acts 19:13-15)
- Because of the lack of proper and factual teaching on occult dangers in the church, occultists have been steadily finding a home with us.
Example: A local church “intercessor” at a growing church also read Tarot cards during the week, and she saw no contradiction. And the leaders discerned nothing amiss. Within months, scandal and adultery destroyed the church.
Example: The wife of an elder at a local Spirit-filled church began having a small home meeting with select women, to teach them about Edgar Cayce, reincarnation and other occult philosophy. The women who went were vulnerable because they had not been taught about occult dangers.
Example: There are a growing number of “Christian witches” communicating on the internet. They apparently see no contradiction between Wicca and Christianity. And why? Because we are not teaching the truth! We will speak against gays, pornography, abortion - but VERY FEW pastors see the NEED or the IMPERITIVENESS of countering occult lies by teaching specific Biblical truths about the occult! And so this insidious cancer continues to infect us unchecked.
I am concerned because each year, I am hearing of more pastors who previously refused to recognize Halloween in any form who are now going back on that stand, whether through pressure from parents or being worn down by attacks, to have “something” for people that night. And I hear many who did are experiencing unusual and intense attacks, not knowing or willing to see it may be because they opened the door by lowering the standard. Satan doesn't need much, you know. He's the master of taking miles of territory from the tiny Halloween inch you give him!
The External War
I learned early on that the occult underworld is interested in EVERYTHING the church does, especially as it relates to their world. Praying against, cursing and doing rituals against the church is very much a reality. Of particular concern for them are those churches or individuals who dare oppose their ways.
Example: The fall of evangelist Jimmy Swaggart. One of the most powerful voices in the evangelical world, he was reduced to utter shame after a scandal that shocked the Christian world.
How we all criticized him.
What almost no one knows to this day is that Mr. Swaggart had just before flown to El Paso on a secret mission, where he led the parents of Night Stalker Satanist Richard Ramirez to Jesus. I believe the occult underworld found Mr. Swaggart's weakness - and set him up - and made him pay.
Example: The fall of Christian comedian Mike Warnke, former Satanist and author of mega-seller “Satan Seller.” Months before his downfall through the supposed Christian Cornerstone Magazine. Mike spoke at a sold out concert here in El Paso. Sitting in the audience were three powerful players in the satanic underworld one who flew in all the way from New York and was well-known in the occult underworld. My associates and I knew why they were there: To devise a plan for his demise. And they succeeded - aided, of course, by Mike's own vulnerabilities in his personal life and testimony, but also by a Church of Satan grotto who was even then offering a video of a “destruction ritual” done on Mike and his ministry. The Cornerstone article was a true triumph for the Dark Side, for it brought down Mike's ministry overnight. And frankly, it wouldn't have mattered if Mike's sins were piled to the heavens or he was a complete fraud. That's not why they wanted him taken out. They wanted him destroyed because of all the kids he was bringing out of the occult, but mainly because he had the best referral network in the world for victims of the occult and people trying to get out. And in one stroke, it was gone.
At the same time, these men sat in on a local service at a fast-growing evangelical church. Within a year of their visit, the church was in chaos, shattered and numerous lives devastated through rumor, division and fear.
At the same time, a “former occultist” here got “saved” and began attending an Assembly of God church. He claimed to have been a Rosicrucian who was a courier to the Illuminati in DC. Within a short time, he became associate pastor. Then he began calling anyone who was in ministry who did deliverance, fought the occult or were saved out of the occult. He interviewed them, gathered information. I was one of the last he interviewed, more of an interrogation, and I felt the presence of familiar spirits the whole time he was at my apartment. Days after, he suddenly left, never to be heard of again. The church had several kids who had been molested while he was there, and the youth pastor's two small children were killed in a freak auto accident. The church was decimated. Another Assembly of God at the same time was driven to failure by direct attack - death threats, finding slaughtered birds at the altar when they opened for Sunday service, and much more. Apparently, they had access to the church before two caretakers moved in. They wanted “their” church back, they said in one phone threat, and they would kill everyone to do it if they had to.
I needed confirmation of all I was learning. I received it through a dear pastoral couple in my association who had a wonderful church in the worst part of DC. Their ministry was wonderfully successful, aided a great deal by a couple that they befriended, grew close to and eventually became right arms to their ministry. Then, everything went wrong and their ministry was under horrible attack on every level.
The pastors cried out to God for answers, and they were stunned when He showed them that their best friends were behind it! Shocked, reluctant, they confronted their friends. They laughed. “We're Satanists”, they said. “You were our assignment.”
As our nation continues to be consumed with the occult and true satanic and occult cartels grown in strength, we MUST be prepared. Be aware of these facts:
1. Any church or ministry that does well is considered a threat and will eventually come to the attention of the satanic occult hierarchy.
2. Depending on resources, they may be visited by a scout or scouts who will report back what they find. A plan is then devised for your downfall. Based on my experience, it may include any or all of the following:
- False brethren with money who will come in, give large and become leaders.
- Same will become “intercessor leaders”, give prophecies, gain the pastor's and leaders' trust, then give false words to create fear, suspicion, confusion and division. Rumors of infidelity and betrayal will split the church.
- Prayers, curses and rituals will be issued out to send division and accusations on the pastors, elders and leaders.
- Demonized people will begin to come to services and manifest in times of worship or communion to create fear and chaos. Mentally ill people will suddenly come to a service and disrupt or even threaten the pastor.
- Deliberately sent men and women will come to try to sexually ensnare the pastor, his wife, or the elders and their wives. Children and teens may also be targeted by sent people to molest them, or entice them into sin and spiritual ruin.
- Select people will be seduced into attending private, “deeper life” home groups to introduce them to “deeper truths” - occult philosophy.
As this war escalates, it is vital that those who oppose the occult/satanic way understand that they will go on a list. And once you get on it, you never get off of it.
Many have been concerned for my safety in this work. God protects me, as long as I walk in His Way and Will. But the fact is, getting OUT of this work is as dangerous as staying in. Many have left the work, thinking they would be left alone. But they were not, because the occult underworld does not release you from their desire for retribution, and when you move on to other ministry work, you will have to be vigilant and prayed up at all times against attack. It's just the way it is.
Former occultists, now ministers, must be especially vigilant. You are marked as a “Satanic traitor”, given special status and hatred. Do not fear! The armies of heaven guard you. (Psalm 91.) But forewarned is forearmed. An internet mandate from “The Order of the Nine Angles” has given specific instructions on who is a candidate for elimination: “Zealous interfering Nazarenes (Christians)…attempting to disrupt in some way established Satanist groups or Orders” are high on the list. THIS IS NOT A GAME.
So what do we do?
1. DO NOT FEAR. All protection and all authority of Jesus has been given us. Fear is their weapon. Do not give place to it!
2. Stay bathed at all times in the Word of God, worship and prayer. Stay fully armed. Listen. Walk carefully in all you do. “In vain the net is set in the sight of any bird.” (Proverbs1:17) In other words, you must stay elevated in God always to avoid a trap, to see what is coming from all directions, and remain a watchman on the wall of your life, and the church.
3. The pastors and people must be given at least a rudimentary Biblical education on occult matters. I am shocked at how few even know the basics. And pastors, do not comfort yourself by saying, “That's not necessary. If we just preach the Gospel, it's enough.” But this is PART of the Gospel, of what we must preach, otherwise just throw out the letters of Paul, John, James and Peter. We need instruction. Otherwise it is like telling a troop of soldiers, “Well, there's a war and such, and you're going to fight in it” but giving them no weapons, no battle plan, no strategy, and no preparation. In this hour, Biblical education on these matters is crucial.
4. “Know those that labor among you.” (1 Th. 5:12) “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothes, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruit.” (Mt. 7:15) Regard not someone's status, position, title or financial contributions when considering someone for leadership or eldership. You must KNOW someone very well before taking that kind of action - that is why Paul said to “lay hands on no man suddenly.” It takes time to really know someone. Do NOT be deceived by “spiritual appearances”. I've seen all the gifts of the spirit counterfeited by occultists. They can pray, prophesy, give “words” and “intercede” with the best of them. DO NOT BE DECEIVED! CHARACTER and FRUIT are the real gage of a genuine saint.
5. Develop a team with sharp discernment who will guard the gates and watch on the walls of your church or ministry. And pray like never before for the keenest discernment of the Spirit of God. Only such discernment can thwart possible infiltration.
6. Do what you must to draw the line in the sand against ALL things occultic, big or small, psychics or Halloween. “A little leaven leavens the whole loaf.” (Gal. 5:9) You may lose friends, your kids may get angry with you, you may suffer loss of membership and donations. Do it anyway. Do it because you must. Do it because He commands it. Set a standard that youth, those who will carry this battle to the next generation, will respect, admire and emulate. And don't change that standard for anyone or anything. More depends on it than you know.
Your eyes are now open to the real battle that is being waged for the church of Jesus. May God give you the courage to fight it well.
