This is a term someone created to describe victims of sexual abuse, child pornography and child trading. Sexual abuse of children is an international crisis. Laws to protect children vary from country to country, and in the U.S., even state to state. Recent Supreme Court decisions protecting forms of virtual child pornography aggravate an already complicated situation for law enforcement.

My concern is primarily for the victims and their families. In the last 13 years, I have done a great deal of work in this area, and I have specialized in researching and providing help for boys who have been abused. The reason for that focus is that boys generally do not disclose abuse. For every one that does, there are probably a hundred that never will. Although the book offered on this site, Orphans In The Storm, and many of the articles on this issue focus on male predatory abuse, it does not take away from the seriousness of the abuse of any child, male or female - it is simply trying to fill in a woefully inadequately met need for information that helps boys in this situation. In addition, many of the articles specifically addressing predatory abuse of boys, can also be applied in a general way to the abuse of girls as well. In any event, I pray they will be helpful.
